Monster Rancher 2: Monster Life Stages

I can force the Market to give me a ??? sub, but it is not identical to the ones off of the CDs (apparently, modifications for ??? subs are coded somewhere in the Shrine sequence, something which I have no way of altering). I don't have most of the ??? CDs (I have some, but most of them are the wrong printing), so I don't really have any way of analyzing them. So far, the only one that I have observed is the Chinois [Metalner/???], which has a Type 2 life stage pattern. In addition to that, it has different Stat Acquisition rates than a purebreed Metalner (more Int and Spd, but less Lif and Def). Aside from that, it seems to be identical to an ordinary Metalner. We know that Time Noise has a substantially higher Guts Regen than an ordinary Naga, and there may be a few other different things as well. Judging from this, I would speculate that each ??? monster is nearly identical to the purebreed, but with a few minor changes, like lifespan potential, life stage type, guts regen, etc. But back to the topic at hand, I will hopefully have more information on the stat gains during each life stage (but that will take quite a bit of time).
